Established in 1871, White & Company is a major force in all aspects of international moving and storing. It has a national network of operational branches throughout the UK, from the Channel islands to the North of Scotland all with professional management, modern vehicles, container storage and packing/forwarding facilities. It is the largest privately owned moving company within OMNI's UK network.

White & Company has nearly twenty fully operational locations throughout the UK. There is over 300,000 sq ft of modern containerised warehousing, supported by a large modern fleet of vehicles. It operates regular intra-European services throughout the European mainland using its own vehicles and trained crews. All shipments arriving in the UK can be trans-shipped anywhere else in the EC without any further documentation using White & Company's frequent road train services to all major cities.

All aspects of air, sea and road freight are covered, as well as archive storage, office moving and fine art shipping. In addition, there are specialist services for all offshore islands including the Isle of Man, the Scottish islands, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands where the company owns three modern facilities.

From its purpose built headquarters in Southampton, White & Company co-ordinates a national road service covering the whole of Europe. Consignments arriving at its warehouse are quickly trans-shipped using the company's own vehicles - there is no subcontracting. Short or long term storage is available in custom-built modern warehousing.

Charges are competitive, service is strong and there is some 125 years of solid experience and financial stability behind the entire organisation.

White & Company's chief feature is the extent of its physical resources which are virtually unmatched. Every day, a fleet of modern vehicles cover the country operating regular trunking services to all of its eighteen branches. These branches are all operational with their own management and operational team backed up by modern storage and packing facilities.

Through this network, White & Company operates a regular service not only to the European mainland but to all offshore islands where it is often difficult to get shipments to. It has its own operations in the Channel Islands and a daily service to the Isle of Wight; difficult islands like the Orkneys and Shetlands are covered as well as more accessible ones like the Isle of Man.

So no shipment arriving at the White & Company headquarters near the shipping port of Southampton is delayed. The company has just opened a large new branch just off the key M25 ring road outside London, providing yet another staging post for all routes throughout the UK and on to Europe.

Its branch network covers Birmingham, Bournemouth, Dunfermline, Edinburgh, Farnborough, Forres, Glasgow, Guernsey, Harrogate, Jersey, Lancaster, London, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Southampton, Telford and Winchester.

A strong management team handles household goods shipments coming in or out of the country. Between them, the company's support team have vast experience in all aspects of moving - whether it's a pet, a car, a picture or an international relocation. Specialist members of the team cover intra-European traffic, deep sea. air freight, groupage, co-ordination as well as specialist routes such as the Far East orthe Americas.

Each of the company's eighteen branches are fully manned on a day to day basis, with the overseas shipping co-ordinated by the White & Company international team at Southampton - close to Southampton Docks and London Airport. All traffic feeds into this single hub on the company's regular trunking service that covers the entire country.
