GB Liners pride themselves on quality. They are a third-generation family run business, established over 100 years ago. Their main hub for international moving is their London branch, but they have a further 10 strategically placed operations in Brighton, Bristol, Cirencester, Cheltenham, Hereford, Loughborough, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, all of capable of handling international moves. Each branch have their own staff, warehouse and fleet of vehicles of varying sizes, and have vast experience in all aspects of international and UK moving and storage.
GB Liners’ standard of service has been built up through meticulous attention to detail, loyal and long serving staff, many of whom are shareholders in the company, and a purpose built in-house training school. Facilities
GB Liners London depot consists of a two floor office space with meeting rooms, a large warehouse with a container loading bay, and in/out gates for added security. The majority of the space is given over to containerised furniture storage with a mezzanine level producing ample space for storage of small consignments and single lots. The warehouse and office complex is purpose built and has facilities for long and short term storage, with computer tracking of all warehouse movements. Modern handling methods ensure GB Liners can handle ISO 20ft and 40ft containers with both exclusive and groupage consignments and lift vans with no maximum size. The warehouse also has a full crating facility.
Services Offered
For imports, GB Liners is able to receive and deliver ISO 20ft and 40ft containers comprising both exclusive and groupage deliveries, air freight and crated cargo. If required and if customs cleared, consignments can be stored in the warehouse until delivery can be made. In addition it has access to a wide range of carpenters, electricians and other skilled tradesman to assist with any unusual aspects of an import, as well as access to home cleaning and house set-up services for the finer touches.
As far as exports in the UK are concerned, GB Liners can provide a comprehensive service including collection, packing and wrapping of all items for exclusive or groupage shipments to all parts of the world. Crating of fragile or delicate items can be carried out in-house as can the manufacture and banding of liftvans. Other services include arranging parking permits, dismantling furniture and a handyman service.
In addition to the above, GB Liners can also offer comprehensive full or part load services in their own vehicles to and from all parts of the U.K and Europe.
Customer Support Team
International Manager – Samuel Griffiths
Responsibility for all imports and exports handled by GB Liners. Samuel has been with GB Liners for many years carrying out a variety of roles and developing a wealth of experience in both import and export operations, before progressing to become the International Manager for the company.
Export Manager – Will Biggs
Responsible for processing many export shipments and for ensuring that the shipments are moved as planned. Will keeps customers informed on the status of their shipment and prepares the documentation associated with the move.
Import Manager – Sarah Simpson
Sarah is often the first contact customers have with GB Liners and she is responsible for handling the documentation on arrival in the UK.
