Founded in 1895 by Alfred Robinson with a horse and cart, Robinsons Relocation remains proudly family-owned more than 130 years later, helping individuals, families and businesses move across the UK, Europe and worldwide.

Over the decades, we have expanded across the UK, invested in purpose-built storage and pioneered international removals, while staying true to our family roots.

Today, Robinsons is led by Anthony and Philippa, Alfred’s great-great-grandchildren, combining national coverage with international expertise to move your way.

From our UK locations in Abingdon, Basingstoke and Redditch, our experienced teams support customers nationwide and work with trusted global partners to deliver moves almost anywhere in the world.

Dedicated Move Manager

Each client benefits from a Personal Move Manager who provides a dedicated point of contact. Working in partnership with our fellow OMNI members enables us to provide the most appropriate and cost-effective moving solutions. As a member of all the leading moving organisations throughout the world, we conform to strict financial, operational and administrative standards. Robinsons invests heavily in move management training, with operational excellence and cost management at the top of the list of priorities, so you can be confident that you are working with a professional.

Customs Clearance

Through our bonded warehouses and under the UK simplified clearance procedure, customs clearance for EU and UK inbound household goods is carried out on our premises ensuring a fast and efficient clearance process.

Europe Door to Door

Robinsons can collect and deliver anywhere in Europe, with regular services to most European destinations, particularly Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany, Switzerland and Spain. All European operations are co-ordinated and managed by a dedicated European manager to ensure a streamlined, cost effective and efficient service.

Operational Crews

Each of our operational crews undergo regular training programmes in order to ensure that the very latest materials and techniques are used. This means that all operational staff are:

• Fully trained to TMI and BAR standards
• In full Robinsons uniform including identity cards
• Employed by Robinsons on a full-time basis
• Managed by a foreman providing a point of contact for the client
• Contactable via a mobile phone

Bonded Secure Storage

With a total capacity of 4,500 storage containers, Robinsons Relocation operates the following facilities and policies:

• Bonded warehouse facilities
• Fully containerised storage warehouse
• Self-Store facilities
• Security alarmed warehouses and offices
• Fire regulations regularly checked
• No smoking policy

Environmental Policy

Robinsons Relocation operates a green policy in respect of:

• Purchase of packing materials and stationery produced from a high proportion of recycled material or raw materials sourced from sustained forests with a monitored replanting system.
• Re-use packing materials and stationery as appropriate
• Submit for recycling all unusable packing materials and stationery
• Use electricity and gas considerately
• Schedule vehicle routing to reduce mileage and conserve fossil fuels
• Service vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions using approved contractors to ensure appropriate reuse or disposal of waste oils
