Francesco Argirò is the CEO and President of The Bliss Corporation Group in Italy. As his company joins OMNI (Overseas Moving Network International), he reflects on the development of his company and his reasons for joining the organisation.
Bliss has been going for 17 years. Francesco started it in 2008 with his brothers, Giulio and Andrea. He had already gained experience in the industry working with DTM Italy, a moving company owned by his father Giuliano. Francesco started as an International Coordinator and progressed to running the company’s Quality Management and road transport services. When DTM stopped trading, Francesco, and his brothers, took the opportunity to start their own enterprise.
“Bliss Moving & Logistics was founded in 2008 with a clear vision: to redefine the moving industry through excellence, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to customer care” he explained. “Leveraging our deep expertise in international and overseas relocations, we recognized a significant gap in complementary services that were underserved in Italy. Driven by this insight, we expanded our mission—establishing Bliss Pet Services in 2011, a premier solution for global pet relocation, and Bliss Relocation in 2015, specialising in corporate relocation, Destination Services (DSP), and Immigration. The latter was strengthened by the expertise of Giulio Argirò, a lawyer specialised in immigration law. Today, these three divisions come together under the umbrella of The Bliss Corporation, an ecosystem of excellence built to deliver a truly seamless, world-class relocation experience.”
The Italian mobility market is highly fragmented, with many small, family-run companies that have remained stable for years, rarely exceeding one million euros in revenue. “These businesses are deeply rooted in their local markets, maintaining a steady presence without major expansion or decline,” explained Francesco Argirò, Founder & CEO of Bliss Corporation. “This creates a scenario where no single dominant leader prevails, leaving space for innovation and differentiation.”
For those operating in Italy’s international mobility sector, some well-established players have strengthened their positions, while others are undergoing restructuring. Over the past 17 years, Bliss has transformed from a new entrant into one of the top three or four independently owned Italian companies in terms of business volume, excluding multinationals and corporate mergers. “This dynamic market confirms our belief that real growth opportunities exist for those who offer more than just competitive pricing,” Francesco continued. “At Bliss, we focus on delivering superior service, leveraging technology, and providing integrated solutions that don’t just meet expectations but create a true WOW experience for our clients.”
Around 50% of the company’s household goods business is generated by overseas agents. However corporate business has grown rapidly and now represents much of the other half of the business.
That was the reason why Bliss opened its new operation in Milan in 2016. Francesco moved there himself 2½ years ago so he could be closer to the corporate action. “I moved here with a pure goal of increasing the volume of corporate business,” he said.
Bliss currently employs 35 to 40 people between the two centres, Rome and Milan. This makes it more of a move management company that an asset-heavy organisation. Most of the full-time staff are in administrative roles with the on-road crews comprised mainly of permanently engaged contractors.
“At Bliss, we maintain a highly structured and efficient governance over our supply chain,” explained Francesco. “Our approach is built on three core principles: strategic partnerships, operational excellence, and brand consistency. We strengthen relationships with our suppliers by ensuring a steady business flow, making us their top client, and guaranteeing timely, fair compensation.”
He continued, “Beyond transactions, we invest in their growth—offering free training, Bliss-branded uniforms, and premium packing materials. This seamless integration ensures that every partner upholds our high standards, extending our reach across Italy while delivering a consistent, premium experience to our clients.”
Bliss has its own warehouse in Rome, through which it handles its storage business. The company rarely handles groupage, preferring LCL for small loads under 10 cu met which, Francesco said, are cost effective. All other consignments are handled as FCL.
“Bliss Corporation is led by Francesco as CEO and President, supported by his two brothers in strategic roles. Giulio, as Director of the Relocation and Immigration division, also oversees the legal and insurance departments, leveraging his expertise as a lawyer. Andrea manages Global Agent Relationships, strengthening the company’s international network.
Another key pillar of the leadership team is Matteo De Cesaris, who serves as General Manager, overseeing HR and HQSE across the entire group.
“We are a family-driven business with a clear, streamlined structure,” said Francesco. “Our strength lies in our diversification, allowing us to remain agile, adaptable, and resilient in an ever-evolving industry.”
Bliss is a member of many industry trading groups. So why does it now see the value in joining OMNI? “When I founded Bliss at 27, I was already familiar with trade associations from my previous experience,” says Francesco. “I grew up reading all these prestigious industry magazines, always looking at OMNI as the ultimate place to be—an exclusive network of stable, market-leading companies that truly shape the industry.”
Now, as Bliss takes its next step forward, Francesco sees immense value in actively participating. “The real benefit of OMNI depends on how we engage. If we approach it with an open mind—like an empty cup—we’ll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and extract meaningful value.”
Speaking about the upcoming OMNI convention in Montenegro this April, where Giulio will represent Bliss, Francesco added: “It’s our first OMNI event, so we don’t know exactly what to expect, but we are incredibly excited and eager to immerse ourselves in this prestigious community.”
