Experience OMNI 2026 in the Heart of Japan’s Cultural Capital

In 2026, the OMNI Conference invites you to Kyoto (京都, Kyōto)—Japan’s seventh largest city and a treasure trove of history, tradition, and innovation. For over a millennium Kyoto was Japan’s imperial capital.  Now the city is a vibrant cultural hub, home to more than 1,600 Buddhist temples, countless Shinto shrines, and 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites that showcase its rich legacy.

From our luxurious base at The Thousand Hotel, just steps from Kyoto Station, you’ll be immersed in the elegance of the city—from the serene beauty of ancient temples to the captivating charm of geiko (geisha) and maiko (apprentice geisha) in the historic Gion district.

Springtime in Japan brings mild, refreshing weather — perfect for exploring Kyoto’s gardens, architecture, and cultural landmarks. The climate may be changeable (it’s all about the right attire!) but the OMNI 2026 Kyoto programme will encompass all the delights of the historical hub that is Kyoto.

Getting to Kyoto is easy: fly into Kansai International Airport (KIX) or Osaka Itami Airport (ITM), just 1 hour 15 minutes and 40 minutes away respectively. Or, enjoy the speed and comfort of Japan’s iconic bullet train, arriving directly at Kyoto Station, a 5 minute walk from The Thousand Hotel.
