Location
DUBLIN, IRELAND

This year’s conference will be held just outside Ireland’s lively capital city, Dublin. A perfect combination of friendly, laidback and charming, Dublin offers a classic visitor experience, excellent social scene and stunning scenery, all framed by Dublin Bay and the Dublin Mountains.
From our base at the Fairmont owned 5 star property, Carton House Hotel, we will immerse ourselves in the culture and history of the city twice named Europe’s friendliest city! The weather may be mild, moist and changeable (it’s all about the right clothing!) but the OMNI 2024 Dublin programme will encompass all the delights of the urban hub that is Dublin and of course the craic!
Find out more about the city here or discover the rest of Ireland here.
Dublin airport services a variety of international hubs and there are several daily flights from Edinburgh.

Mobile phones
Please check with your mobile provider for details about roaming charges and usage in Ireland.
Climate
May is often one of the best times of the year to visit Ireland. The days are getting longer, the weather forecast tends to be more settled than earlier in spring, average temperatures increase and average rainfall amounts are not too high. There is also plenty of color in the landscape of the Emerald Isle too as nature really flourishes over the course of this month. In Ireland the weather forecast is often unpredictable, so even in May you should be prepared for some inclement weather conditions. A waterproof jacket is a must! In May, you can expect the average daily temperature to be about 11 °C (52 °F). There is little variation across the country and generally speaking the average temperatures fall between 7-15 °C (45-59 °F).
Safety
Most visits to Dublin are trouble free but you should take sensible precautions to protect yourself and your belongings in Dublin city and tourist areas. Remain alert to your belongings, particularly in crowded areas.
Healthcare
Make sure you have adequate travel health insurance and accessible funds to cover the costs of any medical treatment.
Gratuities
In Ireland, it is generally accepted, but not expected, to tip in a restaurant or café, but not in a pub. In a taxi, it is worth noting that the drivers don’t expect tips, but you can, of course, round up the cost if you like and it’s always greatly appreciated. It is worth noting that in Ireland, there are no set rules for tipping. This means that tips are not expected, but they are appreciated. With that being said, you can definitely tip when you feel like it is deserved.
Electricity Supply
The electricity voltage of Ireland is 230Volts at 50Hz. Plug type G is used.
Emergency Telephone Numbers in Republic of Ireland
Police / Ambulance / Fire: 999 or 112
