DASA becomes third OMNI member in UAE

DASA (Dubai Arabian Shipping Agency), headed by Craig Reilly, has become the third OMNI member in the UAE.  Although it’s a small country, it is home to many hundreds of moving companies.  Craig said that OMNI membership will help DASA raise itself above the crowd. “This sets us apart from much of our competition,” he said. “We feel that OMNI membership fits the direction our company is taking.”

Harm Meierdirks dies aged 56

Harm Meierdirks, Chairman of the Overseas Shippers Association (OSA) and Director of Carl Hartman, has died, aged just 56.  He had been diagnosed with two inoperable brain tumours in March last year and, despite several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, he passed away on 30 December, 2023. He leaves behind his wife Janine and two sons Jakob and Jannis.
