The Peruvian Government has approved on February 3rd 2020, the Decree 005-2020-MTC that regulates the importation of used vehicles to Peru. It states that new or used vehicles can only be imported if:
1. It is no more than 2 (two) years old. Only models 2019 or 2020 will be accepted.
2. It must not have more than 32,000 Kms.
3. Vehicle with Diesel Motors are not allowed.
NOTE.- It has not been clarified yet how this Decree will affect Peruvian Diplomats returning from Official Missions.
