With over 100 staff, 60 vehicles and premium facilites, we manage everything inhouse.

The Moving Company is FAIM accredited.  2022 was an award winning year, with the Moving Company winning the silver improvers tonnage award for the Australasian region, reinforcing the pedigree of our services.

The Moving Companies core business is international relocations, allowing us to service all shipments from our OMNI partners as an extension to your office, whilst exceeding the customers expectations. With Move Transfer active for file notifications, direct access online for customs clearance, our own container handling equipment and dedicated import staff we can track and monitor the status of each shipment ensuring informed communication throughout the import or export process.

In Auckland, the Moving Company operates from a modern 65,000sq ft facility, conveniently located 10 minutes from Auckland International Airport and 45 minutes from Auckland’s main seaport. Our warehouses are all Ministry of Primary Industries and H.M customs bonded, with 24/7 security & access control, assuring complete peace of mind whilst we accommodate the prized possessions of our customers

The Moving Company is the first in New Zealand to embrace short and long term storage with 20’ containers, adding to security and reduced handling for FCL and larger shipments. Smaller consignments are stored in the traditional palletised hometainer, ensuring we remain competitive whatever the storage requirement maybe.

Our facilities are first class, with Government agencies, such as MPI,  using our faciliteis for trainning new recruits and for filming thier inhouse trainning videos relating to Household goods entering New Zealand 

The Moving Company employs over 100 permanent staff with a dedicated team of ten international shipping staff, headed by our International Manager, Mr Nozer Damania. Our experience, depth of knowledge, focus on service and staff service averaging over 11 years, ensures the highest standards are delivered and maintained. Training is on-going and conducted in-house, and includes our tailored internal packers scheme, where we work with our operational staff one-by-one to maximise their skill level and remuneration.

We operate a unique 'night-shift' team, dedicated to devanning import containers 6 nights a week, ensuring efficient turn around and clearance times for import shipments which has proved particluarly valuable in peak times keeping clearance and delivery times inline with the customers expectations

When you consign your import/export shipment to The Moving Company, you can be assured of our attention to detail and communication.

Import customers are allocated one contact to ensure questions and progress are accurately answered. Relevant customs and quarantine documentation is digital, and telephone assistance for completion is available. Appointments can be made for customers to visit our offices and complete the documents one on one. 

All containers are devanned at our facilities for MPI (Quarantine) screening, replicating the process for importation into Australia. All shipments will be delivered via our own furniture or container trucks. Our fleet is equipped with tail lifters, allowing heavy items such as pianos to be delivered with ease.
