Trallero in Spain has become a member of OMNI. The company, originally formed by Ramón Trallero Llop in 1919, remains family-led, with the fourth generation now actively involved, including his great-granddaughter, Carolina Trallero.

When Ramón started the business it was to provide local moving services. Over the years, three further generations of the family have developed it into a major force in the country for domestic, international and office moving.
The senior generation of the family running the business is now Carolina’s father, Josep, and her uncle Ramón. “They have always worked as a complementary team,” she explained. “My uncle represented the more social and commercial side of the business, attending industry conventions and international events and building relationships, while my father focused on operations and financial management, ensuring discipline and long-term sustainability.” Together they built a strong organisation that rewards effort, commitment and family values.
Ramón was also one of the founders of the Asociación de Mudanzas de Cataluña (AMC), which is part of the Spanish Federation of Moving Companies (FEDEM). “For more than 30 years, he played a key role in the AMC as its President,” explained Carolina. “AMC represents moving companies in Catalonia, defends their interests, promotes best practices and strengthens the industry at a regional level. His leadership in that organisation helped build bridges between companies and contributed to the development of the professional moving sector in Spain.”
Carolina is a member of the fourth generation to run the family firm. Her cousin, also called Ramion, runs the domestic business from the head office in Barcelona. Carolina provides a dual role as Managing Director of the Madrid operation and as International Director for the Group.
Carolina Trallero
She said that she felt under no obligation to join the family business. Carolina holds a degree in Business Administration and Management, completed an executive development programme at IESE Business School, and began her professional career with KPMG as an auditor. In 2010 she joined the company and quickly spotted an opportunity to expand from the historical headquarters in Barcelona to take advantage of the diplomatic and corporate business available in Madrid. She moved to the capital a year later and developed the name of Trallero to have a strong presence in local and international markets.
Today the Group operates nationwide across Spain, with its own facilities in Barcelona and Madrid. While Barcelona remains the historical headquarters and larger operation, the Madrid office independently manages all activity within the Madrid region and has developed a strong presence in both local and international markets.
The Group employs around 60 people and has a 30-strong vehicle fleet. Ramón and Josep still run Barcelona and the two offices operate independently, although Carolina maintains close contact with her mentors, greatly valuing their knowledge and wisdom.
“To have my father and my uncle with me is very important because, as family members, they have a deep sense of responsibility toward clients, employees and suppliers,” she explained. “We are a family business and people are never just numbers to us. We treat everyone as part of the family. What’s important is commitment, focus, discipline and hard work. We are always focused on the long term. Results matter, but continuity matters more. Every decision we take is made with the next generation in mind.”
Carolina approaches all that she does with enthusiasm. “I love what I do,” she said. “I do it with passion. My relationship with my father and uncle works beautifully. It’s also nice for them to know that someone from the family will continue the company.”
The decision to join OMNI, she said, was ‘very organic’. It came about over time, with existing members encouraging her.
“OMNI is a selective, high-level network and I see us being surrounded by some of the stronger players in our industry,” Carolina explained. “That’s a big thing for us. If you want to grow, you need to be surrounded by people who challenge and inspire you.”
Carolina also has an interesting take on the tonnage commitment that all OMNI members make to the network. “I see the tonnage commitment as an inspiration,” she said. “Having this challenge makes me feel more determined to find more business and put as much as possible into the network. I am naturally competitive and like to have clear goals. I think the tonnage commitment will help us to strengthen some of the relationships we already have with OMNI companies.”
How does she feel about becoming part of perhaps the most exclusive of industry networks? “I feel very proud. The fact that OMNI saw in us the right profile to become part of the network means a great deal. It is a recognition of the work we have consistently done over the years.”
