John Mason bags top international creative awards
John Mason International is celebrating worldwide success after receiving gold and platinum Hermes Creative Awards for two of its integrated marketing campaigns.
The campaigns were created by marketing communications agency, Carswell Gould, which produced videos, web pages, artwork and social media posts and engagement for both.

25% of financial institutions to move staff out of UK owing to Brexit
According to the EY Brexit Tracker, more than a quarter of the 222 UK financial services firms monitored have announced that they are moving some staff or part of their operations out of the UK, or that they are reviewing their domicile as a result of Brexit. Whilst firms voicing such intentions remain in the minority, the figures represent an increase from four months ago when 39 (18%) of companies monitored had publicly voiced their intention to make staff or operational changes.
Aires wins gold at the Stevies
Aires has announced that its SpringBoard, self-service, lump-sum management tool has won the Gold Stevie American Business Award in the ‘New Product or Service of the Year – Software – Cloud Application/Service’ category. Winners were determined by the average scores of more than 190 professionals worldwide in a two-month judging process. Aires’ SpringBoard tool was selected for its advanced functionality, ease of use, and ability to fill gaps in current market offerings.
Roberto Granero dies
The Granero Group in Brazil has advised of the recent death of the company’s president, Roberto Granero following a long battle against cancer. In a statement the company said: “He was a great man and a great leader for over 50 years, he will be deeply missed but we can assure that his values and commitments will always remain.”

Customers rate service quality of ocean carriers ‘poor to average.’
According to a survey of exporters, importers and freight forwarders conducted jointly by Drewry and the European Shippers’ Council (ESC), the service provided by container shipping lines is rated as poor to average and has deteriorated in the past year.
BAR to leave FEDEMAC
The British Association of Removers (BAR) has announced a decision to leave FEDEMAC (Federation of European Movers Associations). FEDEMAC’s main function is to express the concerns and needs of the moving industry on European level and to co-ordinate national activities with European impact.
John Mason International offers foreign exchange service
John Mason International has recently unveiled its new foreign exchange (FX) service for clients. The company says it is offering allows customers to transfer money across the globe with the click of a button.
“As well as moving their belongings to new homes abroad, our customers have a whole host of additional things to deal with,” said John Mason International director, Simon Hood. “We’re delighted to be taking another worry off their shoulders – making money transfers as simple and stress-free as possible.”
Unlike most banks, John Mason International FX doesn’t charge transfer fees or commission costs.
“We save our clients between two and three per cent, compared to bank exchange rates,” added Simon. “That is more than £1,000 on £50,000 – and as much as £3,000 on £100,000.”
